This paper focuses on the optimization of the evaluation index system for the value of transportation infrastructure assets. It analyzes the shortcomings of the current system and explores the directions for optimizing the index system from the perspectives of functionality, economy, social impact, environmental impact, and sustainability. The paper also discusses the application of the optimized index system in practical evaluation and the measures to ensure its effectiveness. The research aims to enhance the evaluation mechanism for the value of transportation infrastructure assets, providing a more scientific basis for decision-making, addressing challenges in asset management, improving the level of asset management in transportation infrastructure, and meeting the demands of high-quality development in the transportation sector in the new era.
