With the accelerating process of modern urbanization, the renewal and transformation of old communities have become an important way to further improve residents’ quality of life. As one of the carriers of modern urban micro-renewal, pocket parks not only play roles in improving the community environment and providing spaces for leisure and entertainment, but also can create micro landscape areas for communities under the premise of limited land resources, thereby enhancing residents’ sense of life experience and living happiness. By expounding the significance and challenges of landscape optimization and transformation of pocket parks in old communities, this paper puts forward specific measures such as adapting to local conditions, multi-stakeholder participation, and refined design, so as to provide theoretical reference and practical experience for urban micro-renewal in this region.
