Systematic Vaccination Management and Its Practical Utility in the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Children
Objective: To explore the practical utility of systematic vaccination management in the prevention and control of infectious diseases in children. Methods: A total of 80 age‑eligible children who attended the Preventive Health Care Department of our hospital from April 2024 to April 2025 were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine vaccination management, while the observation group received systematic vaccination management. The two groups were compared in terms of full age-appropriate vaccination coverage rate, incidence of mild adverse reactions post‑vaccination, parental awareness rate of vaccine prevention knowledge, and incidence of infectious diseases in children during the follow‑up period. Results: The full vaccination coverage rate was 97.52% in the observation group versus 82.37% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05). The incidence of mild adverse reactions was 2.41% in the observation group versus 12.68% in the control group (p < 0.05). The parental awareness rate was 95.14% in the observation group versus 78.46% in the control group (p < 0.05). The incidence of infectious diseases during follow‑up was 4.89% in the observation group versus 17.23% in the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: This management model can increase the full vaccination coverage rate among age‑eligible children, reduce the occurrence of mild adverse reactions, help parents acquire more knowledge on vaccine prevention, and lower the incidence of infectious diseases during follow‑up.
