Abstract

Objective: To analyze the impact of implementing the Seminar teaching method combined with the flipped classroom approach, integrating ideological and political education into the teaching of nursing interns, on teaching effectiveness. Methods: Sixty nursing interns who rotated through our hospital from July 2024 to December 2024 were selected as the control group, and 60 nursing interns who rotated through our hospital from January 2025 to June 2025 were selected as the observation group. The control group received conventional teaching, while the observation group received the Seminar teaching method combined with the flipped classroom approach, integrating ideological and political education into the teaching. The teaching effectiveness, students’ self-learning ability, care ability, and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: The theoretical and skills operation scores of the nursing interns in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (p < 0.05); the scores of the core competencies, self-learning ability, and care ability of the nursing interns in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (p < 0.05); the nursing teaching satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Implementing the Seminar teaching method in conjunction with the flipped classroom approach that integrates ideological and political education into the teaching of nursing interns can cultivate nursing students’ humanistic care ability, self-learning ability, and core competencies, and improve their satisfaction with the teaching model, thereby comprehensively improving the quality of nursing education.
