Special Issue Information

Dryness pathogen injures the body; its onset is gradual, and its penetration is deep. In modern life, dryness patterns have become increasingly common. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has sustained advantages in intervening in dryness patterns; however, clinical practice often faces problems such as unclear pattern differentiation and ambiguous drug dosages. Grounded in the TCM principle “dryness should be moistened,” this special column constructs an integrated “dosage–effect–pattern” application framework, analyzes commonly used Chinese medicines for treating dryness, summarizes three-tier dosage application standards, and incorporates clinical case studies, thereby supporting the standardized and precise clinical application of Chinese medicines for treating dryness.
